Our Logo

Tucker Crowe, an American designer connected through Jon's time in Ukraine, took on the job of designing the logo. The shape of the logo simultaneously references a treble clef (incidentally what guitar notation is written with) and Polynesian-styled fish hook. The koru at the bottom of the clef symbolizes emerging growth and locates this project as something inherently Maori. Moreover, the left hand side image of the mountain and its reflection is a nod to the various maunga in the Far North that are located near the water such as Tohoraha (Mt Camel) that overlooks the Houhora Harbour. Tucker has done a great job of capturing all of these elements in one image.
